The North Franklin School District welcomed back staff at their first all district staff meeting, since the pandemic hit, on Thursday, Aug. 25. The district is excited to welcome students to the buildings and get going on another year of educating the kids of N. Franklin.
The local faith community gathered at the Connell campuses for a prayer walk on Sunday, Aug. 28 “to start the school year off right.” Those who came out began at Olds Junior High (OJH) lifting up staff and students in prayer moving onto the administration building, lifting up our administrators, then onto the high school and ending at Connell Elementary where they also prayed for bus drivers and maintenance staff.
Students seemed to be a bit sleepy or unenthused as they made their way to school on Monday, Aug. 29.
At Mesa and Basin City Elementary Schools, Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies greeted staff and students to a new school year. Principal Amy Garza, greeted students at Connell Elementary.
Seventh graders were welcomed by ASB and student leaders with an interactive assembly at OJH. At CHS, ASB and staff welcomed the Class of 2026 to their first day with cheers and enthusiasm. The rest of the secondary students joined them on Tuesday, Aug. 30.
