Columbia Basin Health Association donated a $5,000 check to the City of Connell on Wednesday, November 9. The money was raised through the health clinics annual Color Run, which takes place in August of each year in Othello. This is the third year that CBHA has donated part of the funds raised at the Color Run towards the cities parks and recreation program to bring health benefits to the youth of our community.
Mayor Lee Barrow stated that the funds were utilized last year to provide free swimming for children within the community and will go to support free swimming again in 2023.
The city is grateful to CBHA for their support. The city stated that local donations are anticipated to join CBHA's donation in making free swimming possible for the 2023 season.
