Hello Neighbors,

Yes, neighbors, not just readers - we aren’t just your Local News, we are your local neighbors - in the community, and in business.

As our front page stated - Today, April 9, is the first of its kind… and we invite you to celebrate with us on this inaugural Local News Day, a day to honor the people behind the stories that tell the everyday life of our communities …

This is not just a day of recognition, but a day of action as people, businesses, and organizations all over the country will stand up in person and online to support their local news outlets.

Local News Day is built around a simple theme: Start Local.

National news dominates our feeds, but the most important news is close to home: decisions affecting local schools, businesses opening, community events bringing neighbors together, and policies shaping cities and towns. Local news does more than just inform a community - it brings the community together, keeps civic engagement alive, brings accountability, preserves the unique identity and history of communities, and so much more.

There are many ways to take action - check out our facebook page and share something we’ve posted. Visit our website if you haven’t before or revisit it if you have.

We invite you to reach out to us to find out more about what we do, who we are, and tell us what you would like to see more of.

We also invite you to support local news by using the QR Code below.

We all know the price of mailing is going up on the regular as is pretty much everything these days- so a ‘Free’ newspaper isn’t exactly free... We pay that cost so you can enjoy all the local news each week. Give us a hand this LOCAL NEWS DAY ...Be sure to click in and show your support for LOCAL NEWS right here in Franklin County!

If you would like to support local news by letting us know what is going on in your community, please reach out.

Local journalism only works when the community stands behind it.

The Graphic is also looking for events for our annual Spring Calendar - if you have an upcoming event, be sure to let us know so that we can include it.

You can reach us via email: fcgstaff1@gmail.com leave a phone number if you would like us to call and chat! Happy Local News Day!
