“4 time League Champions” Eagles Tennis hosts Districts

Connell, WA – Connell Eagles boy’s (15-1, 15-1) and girl’s (8-6, 8-6) tennis teams hosted the District 5 Tournament Thursday, May 15, and Saturday, May 17. Representing Connell on the Boys’ team were the top doubles teams of Eastyn Holst and Aaron Chase; Dalston Schwendiman and Aram Borba; and Noah Davidson and Jhett Specht. Representing the Lady Eagles on the Girls’ team were doubles partners Abby Morrill and Kiersen Price; Addison Trainer and Lauren Mertens; and singles player Kamryn Johnson.

Through two days of intense tennis play, those who qualified for State: Boys’ doubles teams of Eastyn Holst and Aaron Chase and Dalston Schwendiman and Aram Borba. The girls’ did not qualify anyone to state, however, Addison Trainer and Lauren Mertens are the alternate girls’ doubles team. Those Eagles and Lady Eagles who qualified from districts to the 1A State Tournament will be on Friday, May 23, and Saturday, May 24, in Yakima. Come out and support your CHS tennis teams.
