Connell, WA – The Connell Lady Eagles’ (4-0) volleyball team continued their hot start to the season with two outstanding performances last week. On Tuesday, September 12, the Lady Eagles squared off against the LaSalle Lady Lightning (1-1); a team that has been traditionally dominant. Connell was up to the test, winning in four sets, 3-1. The set scores were 25-10, 25-16, 21-25, and 25-15.
The Lady Eagles followed up the decisive victory in Union Gap with a road trip to Othello, WA to take on the Lady Huskies (2-1) on Thursday, September 14. The game was tough for both teams. All four sets were very close but the Lady Eagles pulled out the 3-1 victory. Scores for the sets were 25-22, 25-22, 21-25, 25-22. With the winning start to the 2023 season, MaxPreps has the Lady Eagles ranked #5 overall in Washington State (all classifications) and #1 among 1A schools.

The Lady Eagles will look to continue their winning ways on Tuesday, September 19, at home against the Lady Rangers of Naches Valley (1-2).They will host the Lady Bears of Kiona-Benton (0-3) on Thursday, September 21. Connell will head out on the road again on Saturday, September 23, to participate in the Quincy Invite and again on Tuesday, September 26, to face the #14-ranked Royal City Lady Knights (2-2). The #9-ranked team in 2B classification, the Lady Cougars of Warden (5-2), will come to Connell on Thursday, September 28, to close out the Lady Eagles’ September schedule.
